Current Version: 1.2
Released: 27th September 2002
Daily Reading from Taizé is a small Windows program that displays a daily Bible reading taken from the Community Prayer in Taizé.
Nothing. Daily Reading from Taizé is provided to you under the GPL. You are welcome to use and distribute it at no cost.
The only thing you need to use it is a PC running a 32-bit flavour of Microsoft Windows (95/98/Me/NT).
Not at the present time. Eventually I may create a WxWindows port which will enable the creation of versions for these platforms but this will not happen for some time. The source code for the current version is available here, so you could write your own port if you wanted to.

Taizé is an ecumenical Christian community in the south of France. For more information about Taizé you can visit their web site:

The program is written in C++ and is very simple. I currently use Borland C++ Builder 4 as my development environment, so it is not strictly ANSI C++: it makes use of the Visual Component Library (VCL). For downloading new readings from the Internet it uses the HTTP component of Internet Direct ("Indy") 9.0.1.
